Whole House Water Filtration is Different Than Reverse Osmosis System

Fitz: Our friend Rick Allen from CrystalClear Water on the phone with me this morning. Happy Monday, Rick.

Rick: Happy Monday, Fitz.

Fitz: And why can’t I hear Rick?

Rick: I’m here. Can you hear me? I’m here.

Fitz: Rick?

Rick: I’m here. No go here?

Fitz: You there with me Rick?

Rick: I’m here. Can you hear me, Fitz?

Fitz: All right. Now he’s… This is odd. Rick, you there baby?

Rick: Fitz, I’m here. Can…

Fitz: All right. We’ll see if we can’t…

Rick: I’ll call you again.

Fitz: Oh, I’m doing the wrong thing here. That’s why. That was my bad. Hey, Rick.

Rick: Good morning, Fitz. How are you?

Fitz: I’m good. I’m pushing the wrong buttons here. There you go.

Rick: You need that second cup of coffee.

Fitz: That’s it, baby. Happy…

Rick: Here with Clear Water, of course.

Wendy: I came to walk the klempt [SP].

Fitz: Happy Monday.

Rick: Thank you. Happy Monday to you, too.

Fitz: All right. So Rick Allen, head of Pure Elements Water, the parent company for CrystalClear Home, the water filtration system you’ve been hearing Wendy and I talking about for years. Rick, I’m going to take advantage of Wendy Jayne being in the studio here this morning and have her ask you a few questions. Okay?

Rick: That sounds great.

Fitz: All right. Stand by. Here you go. All right. And Wen did the things. You can come over here and sit here, babe. They don’t care.

Wendy: Good morning, Rick.

Rick: Good morning, Wendy. How are you this morning?

Wendy: I’m excellent. How are you?

Rick: Very, very fine, thank you. Ready for another week.

Wendy: Well, there you have it. You know, it’s always so good to talk to you because you know how much I love my CrystalClear Water home filtration system. And I have to ask you a few questions only because, Rick, when I’m out and about, people ask me these questions all the time.

Rick: Sure.

Wendy: So without getting too technical, tell me why this is different than a reverse osmosis system.

Rick: Well, reverse osmosis is primarily a technology used for drinking water. And one of the big differences is that we are leaving the natural mineral content in place and providing a water that’s slightly alkaline. So reverse osmosis pretty much strips everything out and, in general, creates an acidic water.

Wendy: Wow. That’s the same thing with salt when you just…if you have a sea salt, you get all the minerals. And if you use regular salt, it’s stripped of all its minerals. So that’s interesting. That’s great. So let me tell you why I love my system so much, Rick. I love it so much because of the convenience because I am, like, totally addicted, you know, to eating organic as often as I can. So when I’m home, and I buy all of these magnificent organic vegetables, I know that I can go to my sink and wash all my vegetables in filtered water. I’ve paid extra money for these vegetables, so now, I’m not tainting them with more chemicals when I’m washing them.

Rick: That’s for darn sure, you know, and the vegetables are very porous. So getting all the gaseous chemicals out before you wash them is very, very important. Real beneficial.

Wendy: And the other reason why I love it is because I never have to think. When I’m in my house, I want to glass of water. I walk to any sink in my house, in the bathroom, in the kitchen. Wherever I am, I can drink the water. I can wash my face. I can brush my teeth. All these things that are very, very important to me as a woman.

I take a shower. I’m a huge bath person, and I love sitting in a tub and knowing that I’m not absorbing all of these chemicals because… Do you know they say it takes only 24 seconds for your body to absorb chemicals whether it’s from the water that you shower and bathe in or whether it’s the creams that you put on your body? So I’m always trying to avoid these toxins as much as I can, and you just make my life so much easier.

Rick: Well, listen. From a health standpoint, the bath and shower is one of my biggest priorities for more than 35 years because not only are you in your bathtub soaking that in, but these gaseous chemicals and things, many of them that are carcinogenic, they’re in the steam. So you’re breathing them. They come in through your skin, gets exposed, and those things migrate out into the living environment. So while you’re taking your bath, you could be affecting Fitz in the other room, too. So we want to eliminate all of that right at your front door.

Wendy: I mean, we don’t think about these things. But it’s so prevalent in everything we do in life that if we can avoid them, you know, in our own home, why not do it? And I have to say, another great advantage and a peace of mind for me… Because, you know, Rick, in my house, I’m the tool time girl.

And we just moved into a new place and got all new appliances. And, of course, I am concerned about all the lime buildup in the appliances and, you know, my new plants that I planted outside. So I know that this water filtration system is actually servicing my whole house, not just me personally for all the vanity reasons and convenient reasons that I just went down.

Rick: Well, but, you know, it definitely benefits your skin and your hair dramatically because the chlorine and other things are drying agents. And they make hair brittle, and they strip color from hair. You know, certainly, anybody with sensitivities to drying agents, it surely affects their bathing and showering experience.

Wendy: Well, that’s me. I mean, and the desert just makes me even more dry than I already am. And Rick, for those of us who color our hair…

Rick: I didn’t say anything.

Wendy: I know. I know. However, we buy those expensive color saving shampoos. But if we don’t have filtered water, the water is stripping our hair as well.

Rick: Very quickly. Not even a question there.

Wendy: Yeah, yeah. So look. Those are all the reasons, Rick, why I love the system so much and why, when I’m out and about and people ask me about it…you know, as I said, all of the personal hygiene reasons, all of the health reasons, all of the convenience. You know, when I’m running out the door…and Rick, I’m one of these people that are always running out the door to an appointment as Fitz is laughing in the background.

I go, “Oh my gosh. I forgot my water.” And I run, and I get my stainless steel thermos because it’ll keep the water cool in my hot car, and I just run to the faucet and fill it up. And I don’t have to worry about those plastic bottles that I see sitting on the docks when they’re delivered to these grocery stores, and I know that all those chemicals are leaching into the water in those plastic bottles on top of it.

Rick: Oh, yeah. Not even a question.

Wendy: Not in my life.

Rick: Well, and there’s one other thing that we were able to do in your new house, and that’s very important for anybody out there who is re-modeling or, you know, replacing a water heater or doing a ground-up construction project. There is absolutely no question that one of the primary things you should do during the construction process is to install whole house filtration and salt-free water conditioning. So, you know, you recall we had to deal with walls and all kinds of things. So anybody in that mode should absolutely look at this right now.

Wendy: Yeah. Absolutely. We did it so that everything was… As a matter of fact, you even set everything up for my landscaping because at the time we were doing the house, I told you I wasn’t gonna do the landscaping until the very end. So you set it up where the water was, you know, all working for my landscaping as well, and yeah. So Rick, I just love my system. So tell people, Rick, where they can get in touch with you so they, too, can love their system.

Rick: Well, they can reach out to us at 760-346-4850, 346-4850. They can look us up at crystalclearhome.com or the parent company, pureelementswater.com. There’s lots of information there, and, you know, we’re happy to talk to anybody about their particular water concerns or questions about what we’ve got going on in the valley with chromium-6 and arsenic and chlorine and the different things. So reach out to us. We’d love to provide information.

Wendy: Definitely. And you know what? Take it from me. Rick is so knowledgeable and will answer any questions that you have. And I ask a lotta questions, don’t I, Rick?

Rick: They’re all good questions though, Wendy.

Wendy: So 760-346-4850. Call Rick. Get your own CrystalClear Water home filtration system. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks, Rick.

Rick: Thanks very much, you guys. Tell everybody to stay hydrated during Coachella.

Wendy: Yeah, definitely. All right. Take care.

Rick: Bye, bye, guys.

Wendy: Bye, bye.

CV104 3 Radio Fitz and Wendy Rick Allen Water and COVID 19 Health

Fitz: We’ll address that coming up in a few, but right now, we’ve got our buddy Rick Allen from Crystal Clear Water on the phone with us.

Wendy: Do we?

Fitz: Rick.

Rick: Hi, guys. How are y’all today?

Fitz: What it is, how are you?

Wendy: Hey, Rick.

Interviewee: I am good. I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy.

Wendy: Of course, we are. We have a Crystal Clear home water filtration system in our house.

Fitz: There you go.

Wendy: We’re very healthy.

Rick: Absolutely.

Fitz: Do we need to say anymore?

Rick: No, I think we’re done.

Fitz: All right. Good to talk to you, man. Rick knows so much about all of our various water districts out here. I’ve never talked to anyone as knowledgeable about water or as passionate as you are. Rick, taking good care of our listeners for many, many years. And now, a really good time since you’ve got that 25% off. For those who maybe haven’t had time, been running too much, now you’re at home, easy for you to communicate these days with your clients and prospective clients, right, Rick?

Rick: Absolutely, it actually is. To a degree, it’s a little bit easier. And I do see a substantial increase in the communication we have with people who are interested in taking a look at their water during these pretty crazy times right now.

Fitz: No doubt. I mean, I can’t tell you, I’ve told you and told our audience for many years about all the benefits of this total property water filtration system. Wendy and I were coming home from grocery shopping yesterday and we’re looking at our home, and looking at the landscaping. Rick, it’s almost like it’s our landscaping’s on steroids, man.

Wendy: It’s really is.

Fitz: It’s like Wendy goes, “Oh, my God, we’ve got to start trimming all this stuff back, it’s growing like…it’s lush, it’s beautiful.” And we do attribute that because chlorine is not good for our landscaping, our bushes, and our shrubs, right?

Rick: No, absolutely. You know, and it’s not that great for us either, as you know. And there are other factors in what we’re doing too that are, you know, resulting in the extensive. I like to call it the thriving landscape that you guys are experiencing there. And so, you know, obviously, we start from the outside in and we want to take care of ourselves personally, you know, on our bodies and our health and our hair and our skin and all of those things. And just as added benefits, we’re able to address things in irrigation, let you guys use less fertilizer and less water, but also do things that are very beneficial for swimming pools and water features.

Fitz: Right. And of course, not to mention the guts of all your appliances and everything, the pipes that go through your home and everything else and all that salt leaching, all that clog that happens from regular tap water. But also, Rick, I want to point out, everyone is trying to eat healthy these days. They go and they buy organic produce and they come home and they wash it off in chlorinated water in their sink, not if you have your own Crystal Clear home water filtration system.

Rick: Absolutely.

Wendy: And I’d also like to bring up another point that’s actually a very serious point that’s going on right now, Rick. And that is with this virus, the one thing that really upsets me is I don’t think that there’s enough talk on the news about the need to take care of yourself so that if, in fact, you do get this virus, you can recover from it. And one of the things they tell you to do, and I don’t think they’re telling you enough, is to drink lots of water, clean water, to keep your lungs hydrated, and also to take baths, to keep your body hydrated. And those are two things that, if they’re so important to do, it’s so important to do in clean water.

Rick: Yeah, there’s not even a question, and actually, that was the topic I had in mind for just this brief talk here is the fact that hydration is, you know, a very prominent or critical thing to be doing right now because you’re right. I believe too, my personal beliefs are that one of the great ways to stem the virus is to make your immune system strong so that you can either avoid getting it altogether, even if you’re exposed possibly, or if you do get it, so that you can get through it and get on with it.

Wendy: Exactly.

Rick: So hydration plays a big role…

Wendy: Big role.

Rick: In supplementing the immune system.

Fitz: No doubt about it.

Wendy: Yes, absolutely.

Fitz: And that needs to be stressed more and more, Rick. I don’t think there is enough talk about diet and building up your immune system. Your rest.

Wendy: And it’s so great for us to have this system in our house because no matter what room we’re in, you know, and Fitz is always constantly saying, “Wendy, are you drinking enough water? Are you drinking enough water?” And so as soon as he says it to me, I immediately fill a glass of water wherever I am. And I know that it’s filtered clean water and it’s so great. And the same thing with taking baths, as you know, I love to take baths. And it’s so great to know that I am not absorbing chemicals, either from the air because I’ve filled the tub and the chemicals come into the air or from the water itself. So, you know, I just think that it’s a simple way for us all to take care of ourselves.

Fitz: You spoiled us rotten, Rick. We’re so spoiled and you know how we’re proud to be spreading the word for you. We urge everyone to go to your website, pureelementswater.com, pureelementswater.com and then give Rick a call. He has helped so many of our listeners. And I can tell you, several listeners have said through the years, Rick, how great you are with them and how much they love their systems. So there’s a good endorsement right there. 346-4850, ask for Rick Allen. Like I said before, he knows more about water than anyone. He can explain how it works. And you have all, you know, obviously, everyone has different needs depending on the size of their home and their property.

Wendy: It’s not a one-size-fits-all system.

Fitz: Right. Exactly. And you’ve got 25% off right now.

Wendy: Which is amazing.

Fitz: An amazing opportunity to go ahead and give you a call, get more details, and save 25% off

Wendy: Important work.

Fitz: Keep on keeping on.

Fitz CV104.3 Radio Pandemic Causes Resurgence In Focus On Water Health

Fitz: 8:38. Okay, let’s do this again. Mr. Waterman, Rick from Crystal Clear Water. Good morning.

Rick: Good morning, Fitz. How are you this morning?

Fitz: I’m like everyone else. We’re doing what we’re supposed to do and yet trying to keep positive and in the zone, and yet we cannot wait to turn the page on this chapter, that’s for sure.

Rick: Well, I sure hear you on that one.

Fitz: In this day and age, Rick, we’re talking about water and talking about, I think, the silver lining in this is that people are gonna be hopefully paying more attention to their health, you know, and trying to take off a few pounds because, you know, preexisting conditions has not been a good thing for those who have gotten this COVID-19, and obesity and just all the things that people have been doing, not eating right and not paying attention to their diet and overindulging and everything and not exercising. I think your product falls into that. Trying to keep us clean, healthy, and keeping our insides clean with that crystal clear water so that we’re not ingesting that chlorine and chromium-6 and pharmaceuticals that has been proven to be in our drinking water and all that fun stuff.

Rick: Yeah, I think you’re right about that. I think there is gonna be a resurgence in focus on health, and this pandemic has made us take a look at where we are, each one of us, where we are physically. And in some cases, it’s not benefiting to be looking at the same four walls, you know, and taking out that takeout food and we want to keep doing that, though, because we have to support our brothers in the restaurant business.

Fitz: No doubt.

Rick: So, yeah, but you certainly can take control of the health in terms of the water quality in your home, and that definitely does fit into the package moving forward here because whole house filtration is extremely valuable and getting the chemicals and things out of the bath and shower water, because, as we’ve talked about before, that’s the greatest area of exposure that you have to the carcinogenic things that are in the water. And you know, our guys at the water districts do a good job of meeting the federal standards, but you still have a bunch of things in there that we shouldn’t need to be exposed to. And then on the drinking waterfront, of course, health-related supplies and bottled water is in and out of shortage, short supply in the grocery stores, and we want to be moving the water around.

Coachella Valley CA – CV104.3 Radio Interview

Fitz: And not to mention how expensive bottled water is, Rick.

Rick: Yeah. And just the physical act of moving water from the shelf to your house. And there’s a whole second layer of issues there with concerns about chemicals leaching into the water from the plastic. And especially in the Valley when as the temperatures get warmer, as those temperatures increase, that makes that a greater problem for us.

Fitz: For the next week we’re gonna be in triple digits. Here, we’re gonna hit like 101 today. So a lot of those pallets of water, when they’re getting delivered to the store, sit outside in the sun or the folks delivering put it back on the back gate and they can only take, you know, one-off at a time or whatever. And man, that is certainly a recipe for that plastic leaching into the water. People don’t realize that.

Rick: Yeah, it’s really a concern. I mean, in dealing with a lot of my healthcare and longevity people, I do have a very top-rated Orange County nutritionist who has a study out of Europe. It’s pretty old, maybe 10 or 15 years old now. And they studied the whole deal there and there. They came up with the fact or their result was that drinking water from the plastic bottles is equivalent to drinking liquid estrogen. And her whole concept in terms of Orange County being one of the areas with highest female cancers was that the affluence, you know, everybody carrying around a bottle of designer bottled water is a contributing factor to that. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but I do hold some belief that it is.

Fitz: I’ve heard that before. That’s not surprising. So Rick, we encourage everyone to get in touch with you more important now if you’ve been on the fence and not to mention the fact that you’re giving 25% off now on these systems.

Whole House Complete Filtration System Coachella Valley CA

Rick: Yeah, we’re trying to help, you know, where we can, and we’ve actually been quite busy because people get a chance now to sit down and reflect and say, “Hey, we have some of those things, some of those boxes we want to check for the home,” and doing whole house filtration and salt-free water conditioning should definitely be one of those boxes.

Fitz: And I’m sure when you or your representative comes out to a home, if someone’s interested, obviously you do all the correct social distancing and everything that’s being asked of us all now.

Rick: One hundred percent. In fact, we actually are doing the majority of business that we are doing right now is actually what I would call a phone order, where we actually can design and do the whole thing in terms of going on a water system for somebody without an actual personal visit to the home.

Fitz: That’s awesome.

Rick: And in most cases, we can actually do the installation physically and not go anywhere further than the garage. So that’s been really good in terms of ways to deal with this and make sure we’re 110% compliant with what we’re being told to do.

Fitz: Sure. And everyone has a different sized home, different needs. You can custom design a system. We encourage everyone to go to your parent company website and check it out, pureelementswater.com, and then give you a call. You’ve been great with our listeners through the years, Rick, and we thank you so much for that. You definitely know your biz, and you’re passionate about it, which is what it’s all about. 760-346-4850, 760-346-4850. Ask for Rick Allen. He’ll get back with you and find out how you can drink and bathe worry-free. Wash those vegetables, save the innards of your dishwasher and all your appliances from that hard water, and live a much more healthy than you would if you didn’t have the system.

Wendy and I are spoiled. We can vouch for it. Everything we say does happen and works. And Rick, you’re the best. So 346-4850, give Rick Allen a call. Find out how you can get your own crystal clear home water, total property water filtration system. Rick, always a pleasure. Keep doing the right thing. Stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to turning the page on this chapter here sooner than later, of course.

Rick: Boy, I hope so. So, hug those close to you. Say hello to lovely Wendy for me.

Fitz: I will.

Rick: And we will talk soon. Thank you very much.

Fitz: All right. Thank you so much, Rick. Make it a fantastic Friday. Safe weekend.

Rick: All right. You, too. Bye-bye.

Fitz: Stay cool.

Crystal Clear Home Water Filter Systems During the Covid-19 Pandemic – CV104.3 Radio

Fitz and Wendy from radio station CV104.3 talks about water filtration systems in the Coachella Valley with Rick Allen during the pandemic.

Fitz: Thirty-three, our buddy Rick Allen, we always like to check in with Rick. He’s the man who knows more about water and pure water. That’s why he’s the man with the CrystalClear Home water filtration system. Rick Allen, who has taken great care of many of our listeners through the years. Rick, how are you and your lovely wife doing during these times?

Rick: We are hunkered down and we’re doing very well. Thank you. I hope you and Wendy are also.

Fitz: Yes we are. Thank you.

Wendy: Hi, Rick.

Rick: Hi, Wendy. How are you?

Wendy: I’m doing great. You know, we’re doing the same thing, hunkering down and doing what we’re supposed to do.

Fitz: Trying to keep positive, trying to keep healthy, trying to move around so we don’t get, you know, boy, when you sit around too much and watch too much television, man, that body aches just because you’re in one place which is unhealthy to begin with. And then all the information that makes you tense up anyways, so we’re just trying to be like a relief valve here on Saturdays.

Rick: Exactly.

Fitz: So what’s going on with CrystalClear Home? And, boy, you talk about people now more than ever concerned about their health and different things in our water system and all that stuff.

Water health during a pandemic.

Rick: Absolutely. Right now is an exceptional time and because of course drinking water and water is a necessity, we are continuing to work on paying attention to all of the restrictions and regulations and things. But now is the time to take control of the water inside your home for both drinking and bathing and everything else from all the health aspects that you can. You know, the bottled of water is flying off the shelf, there’s shortages of certain brands and different things and you don’t need to be a slave to that. I mean, this is the time to…

Fitz: Not to mention the amount of money that you spend on bottled water.

Rick: Oh, it’s crazy, certainly more than gasoline. And we absolutely need to take control and be able to have good quality drinking water from every faucet. And we’ve got a lot of people who are taking the step right now because they’re stuck at home and they’re getting some home things done and on that list needs to be addressing your water quality throughout your home.

Fitz: Well, Rick, we are big proponents of the system, obviously. Want to remind everyone that depends on the size of your home that you can custom make a system depending on how big the property is because this is a total property water filtration system and takes care of your plants and all that salt leaching goes away. And with all the carcinogens in our drinking water and the chlorine and the chromium (VI) and all that we forget that when we bathe or take a shower, we breathe that stuff into our lungs and we need to keep those lungs clean and…

Wendy: Strong, healthy.

Fitz: And these days, more than ever, you know.

Wendy: Definitely.

Rick: Boys, and that’s the truth.

Fitz: So, Rick, I want to thank you on behalf of our listeners who we’ve connected you with and your support. Thank you for your support of yours truly and Wendy and me for so many years. We always feel proud to be able to put your message out because we live the CrystalClear water life and are always grateful. And I can’t tell you how many times we’ll catch each other going, you know, we take it for granted but isn’t this amazing that we have this throughout our home and that we’re blessed to be able to drink that way and not have to be going to the store constantly and buying bottled water?

Wendy: And that’s very true because when we do go to the store, we see people buying cases of water.

Fitz: If you can find them now on the shelves in certain stores.

Wendy: And also, you know, specifically for this virus, they say you should be drinking even more water now.

Rick: Absolutely. And, guys, you know, we’re trying to help out, I know it’s a tough time for a lot of people, so we’re doing what we can. So we are offering 25% off company-wide on all of our systems. So that’s indefinitely while we’re dealing with the fun coronavirus thing. And so if this is something that you had on your wish list and you’re sitting at home now, you know, now is the time to snatch it up.

Fitz: Well I’m sure there are a lot of people who have been sitting on the fence or they haven’t had time to deal with it or whatever. That’s a good point, that’s so nice of you to offer that 25% off, Rick. 346-4850 is Rick’s number. Give him a call, he’ll be happy to talk to you and get back with you and answer any questions you might have. It’s fascinating how it works, it’s so simple, it doesn’t require any maintenance. 346-4850 and you can get more details on the parent company’s website, pureelementswater.com. Rick, I’m glad you and your wife and family are safe and sound and doing what we’re all doing. And we look forward to turning the page on this chapter, that’s for sure. And we thank you so much for keeping our listeners healthy with the pure water.

Rick: Thank you guys for all your support over the years and hopefully we can all get out there and play some live music one of these days again, too.

Fitz: Man, don’t you miss it, Rick?

Wendy: That’ll be exciting.

Fitz: This is supposed to be Coachella weekend one.

Rick: I know.

Fitz: And that’s such a beautiful day. It was rainy and cold yesterday but today a beautiful morning and nothing like after the rain, is there?

Rick: Now lots of negative ions which is healthy also.

Fitz: Exactly.

Rick: So get out where you can.

Fitz: There you go.

Wendy: Exactly.

Fitz: That’s good advice right there, a lot of people don’t know about that. We’ll have to dig into the negative and positive ions next time. All right. Rick Allen, thank you so much. Once again, 346-4850 is your number, pure elementswater.com on the web. Rick, happy Easter to you and your family and thank you for the partnership and the friendship for all these years.

Rick: Thank you guys and to all your viewers. Have a wonderful day you guys.

Fitz: You too, man. To be safe.

Wendy: Thanks, you too, Rick.

Fitz: All right. Be safe.

Wendy: Bye-bye.

Fitz: Stay healthy.

Rick: Bye-bye.

Water Softener Problems Coachella Valley CA – Fitz CV104.3 Interview

Fitz: On the phone with me is the man who knows more about water than anyone I know. From CrystalClear Home, the parent company Pure Elements Water, my friend, Rick Allen, on the phone with me this morning. Good morning, Rick.

Rick: Good morning, Fitz. How are you?

Fitz: I’m spectacular. How are you?

Rick: I’m great, getting ready for a holiday weekend.

Fitz: That’s it, baby. Celebrate our freedom responsibly.

Rick: Absolutely.

Fitz: Remember what the weekend’s all about. In addition to the barbecues and the parties, it’s all about our independence.

Rick: Absolutely.

Fitz: And our great country. So Rick, you got some new info on what’s happening water-wise here in the dessert.

Rick: I do. I’m going to get on my soapbox for a couple of minutes here.

**25% OFF All Water Filter Systems Right Now**

Fitz: Let me help you up here.

Rick: Yeah.

Fitz: Okay, there you go.

Rick: So I’m gonna talk a little bit and try to maybe give a little bit of consumer advice to try to help our people in the valley. I’ve got something that’s been sticking in my craw for a little bit and it was really apparent yesterday what’s going on. And so what I wanna talk about is the proper application of water systems for people’s homes. And specifically water softeners in our valley. We know they are not favored and they’re actually disliked by all of the water districts because they’re really tough on the environment and create a whole bunch of problems for reclamation and recycling. But what we’re seeing in the dessert is a situation where the water softener companies and you know the names, the big guys, they are installing water softeners on homes without any regard to what is going through the water softener itself. So a water softener is introducing salt into the water and when you go that route, that creates a water that is disastrous for pools. It destroys the plaster and it does things at the grout lines and has all kinds of other issues, throwing the salt balance off if you have a salt pool. So water softeners should never be on the feed line to anybody’s pool and secondarily traditional soft water is horrible for plants. It adversely affects them and over a very short period of time in the valley, it actually will kill plants. So we were in several homes yesterday where water softeners had been installed and the pools and all of the irrigation were going through the water softeners and the plant life, the lawns were dying, the ficus trees were in trouble.

Fitz: Wow.

Rick: I think a couple of them we caught in time before the pools got actually severely damaged. But I just kinda wanted to give a public service announcement here. For anybody who is considering doing traditional soft water…and we have those clients. Maybe 2% of what we do, a traditional water softener is the right application. But if you have a water softener or you’re considering doing a water softener, you need to ensure that that water softener is treating the water only for the domestic hot and cold water inside the home and is not treating the water for the pool or the landscape. And in addition, there’s a push to salt potassium for water softeners as an alternative to the basic salt because it is a little better on the plant life and things. And at \$25 or more a bag, it’s quite expensive and water softeners run through that stuff based on how many gallons of water are used. So you can imagine, I mean, in a hot week, we can have a pool, average pool, you know, 500 to 750 gallons of evaporation. All that water has to be softened and uses all that potassium, not to mention the irrigation water. So it’s a super expensive proposition to do it that way also and so I just wanted to spend a minute and tell all of your listeners out there that if you’re considering doing a water softener, make sure whoever you’re talking to figures out the plumbing infrastructure for your house and ensures or guarantees you that you will not have soft water in the pool and you will not have soft water going through your irrigation. And so of course, you know we’re salt free, so we’re the opposite end of the spectrum. Everything we’re doing is extremely beneficial for both plant life and pools. That’s the other thing. I wanted to mention to anybody who has a water softener currently that you should check and see that your system has been installed properly. And if you have trouble figuring out what’s feeding what, we’re happy to come out without any charge or anything and take a look and simply figure out what’s going on with your plumbing, where all the lines go and what is going through a water softener and what is not. So that’s a very important thing and it seems to me that the big brands, and you know those guys, seem to be just throwing these things on and moving on to the next home with no regard for what’s being treated. So we actually saw some homes yesterday that were, you know, that had devastating results and…

Water Softener Problems Coachella Valley CA

Fitz: Wow, because you don’t stop and think about all the carnage that that kinda stuff can create and the disintegration of pipes and how bad it is for the environment. And like you said, dead landscaping and ficus trees and plants. That’s the beauty of CrystalClear Home, is that it’s a total property water filtration system that actually is good for your plants and your landscaping and you use less water and less fertilizer and it makes it more vibrant green. So Rick, you are happy to go consult anyone. This is creating a lot of curiosity. It’s more important than ever for us to be making sure that we’re giving our families pure water and not have pharmaceuticals, carcinogens, chlorine, chromium-6 and all that nasty stuff. You’ll talk to anyone who wants the information, 346-4850. That’s how they get to you and if you’re not around, they’ll leave a message and you’ll get back to everyone. You can get more detail online, crystalclearhome.com. That’s crystalclearhome.com or the phone number that we’ve been giving you for years, 346-4850, 346-4850, Rick Allen, you are the man who I am lobbying to change your name to Rick Waterman.

Rick: Keep lobbying. I think it’s been taken, like I said.

Fitz: Okay. But I’m gonna still drill it into you and I don’t know anyone who knows as much about water as you do and I thank you for sharing this information as a public service with our audience.

Rick: Thanks very much, Fitz, for having me on.

Fitz: All right, Rick. Thank you so much and thanks for the support and we’ll keep spreading the word about CrystalClear Home.

Rick: Great.

Fitz: All right. Rick Allen of CrystalClear Home. No one knows the water biz like Rick does, that’s for sure, 346-4850.

Fitz and Wendy Interview 2-22-20 on CV 104.3

Fitz: [recording begins mid-sentence] …deejaying and hanging with you. Saturday Shenanigans. I got my buddy Rick Allen, who we haven’t talked to in a while, on the phone from Crystal Clear Water and the parent company Pure Elements Water. Rick knows more about our water than anyone. Happy Saturday, Rick.

Rick: Happy Saturday, you guys. How are you?

Fitz: We’re doing spectacular. How are you? Keeping busy, I know, and taking good care of our listeners with their systems.

Rick: We’re working on that. You know, the water just doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

Wendy: Hi, Rick.

Rick: Hi, Wendy. How are you?

Wendy: Oh, our water tastes great.

Fitz: Oh.

Rick: You’re part of the privileged group.

Wendy: Yes. Yes.

Fitz: Hey, we’re so spoiled. And many of our listeners have taken our advice and called you and have gotten great systems. A lot of people don’t realize that you have different systems for different sized homes and needs. Let’s just do the basics, Rick. It’s not a salt system.

Rick: No, it’s a salt-free, whole house water filtration and water conditioning system. And as we’ve talked over the years, there’s just a quick list of things that every homeowner should achieve when they do whole house or total property filtration. And just to run those real quick, and I know, Wendy, you appreciate this, I know you do, too, Fitz, it keeps you guys looking young.

The bathing is the biggest area we can help everybody, with regard to health-related things, without formally making a health claim. And getting the chemicals and things out of the bath and shower water is huge. That’s the largest area of exposure we have to these chemicals. They’re drying agents. They affect hair and skin and beauty, and they irritate skin conditions. We could just really address all those things by removing those chemicals on the front end.

Fitz: No doubt.

Rick: And then, you know, drinking water is very, very important for everybody. And we wanna leave those natural minerals in, but we’ve gotta address the heavy metals, and you guys know we’re looking at arsenic and chromium 6 in the valley. And, also, getting the carcinogenic chemicals and things out but having great tasting water and all that for your cooking and drinking and ice.

Wendy: And keeping the mineral content intact.

Rick: Yeah, very, very important with our healthcare and longevity, guys.

Wendy: Yeah.

Fitz: Big time. That’s big time. And you talk about all those the drying agents and everything. Something you brought up a while ago that I never even thought about is the aerosol effect. This goes into the air, in your shower, and you’re sitting there, you’re taking a shower and all this chlorine, with all these pharmaceuticals and chromium 6, and you’re actually ingesting it. It’s not just being absorbed by your pores.

Rick: Yeah, you’re taking it into your lungs. And if you think about it, both your pores and your lungs, those are direct shots for this stuff to go into the bloodstream. You know, if I give you guys a glass of water to drink at least you’ve got the organs and digestive tract to do some filtering for you before it goes into your body. But in the shower, you got a bullseye on your back, there. So very, very important to get those things out and have the good drinking water. And of course, you can drink your shower water or drink it from your master bathroom sink.

Wendy: Right.

Rick: It’s just the whole house instead of faucets.

Fitz: We’ve done it many times. Taking a bath and just running out of water and just putting it up at the bath spigot, there, and ahh, from every faucet in the home. We do it, Rick.

Wendy: Yeah, and then there’s all the hard water issues. It greatly reduces all the hard water issues. Protecting the pipes and your appliances, and benefits the exterior of your home, all of your landscaping. You’ll water less. You don’t have any of that build up in your irrigation system.

Fitz: Rick, you told me…

Rick: The plants…

Fitz: …how many water districts do we have just in the Coachella Valley?

Rick: Well, you’ve got a lot, but there’s seven primary water agencies in the valley.

Wendy: Wow.

Fitz: That’s unbelievable. In our small valley. That’s crazy.

Rick: Well, and that’s why these systems have to be custom-designed because if you’re in Palm Springs, we have to put a completely different system in than we would put in La Quinta.

Fitz: Wow.

Wendy: Right.

Rick: And it’s very important. And this is something that we are the only guys doing. And I do applaud people in our industry who can have 500 things in the warehouse and say, “Hey, this should probably take care of everything, sort of,” but it just doesn’t work like that. And that’s why we’re the darlings of the healthcare and longevity guys, the alternative cancer clinics and everything is because we’re zeroing in on exactly what’s coming into each home in the valley, and that differs very dramatically from both one end to the other.

Fitz: Sure. I didn’t know that. That’s fascinating.

Wendy: Yeah.

Fitz: Rick, what about restaurants? How many restaurants are getting hip to this, to make sure that they’re serving their customers’ crystal clear, chromium 6, chlorine-free water?

Rick: Well, we have a good variety of restaurants who are doing it. The restaurant industry is very, very tough.

Fitz: No doubt.

Rick: It’s very price-driven.

Fitz: No doubt.

Rick: You know, in all honesty, guys, a lot of times the restaurateurs want you to take a sip of their tap water and order bottled water and things.

Wendy: Right.

Fitz: That’s true, too.

Rick: There’s some cross purposes happening when you get into a restaurant.

Wendy: Yeah. Yeah.

Fitz: That is an interesting thought. Yeah. Sure.

Rick: Yeah. I think the thing to do is take control of your home living environment.

Wendy: Right.

Rick: And, you know, Wendy, you were talking about the hard water. We’re able to do all that for everybody without salt and without traditional water softeners and all the problems that they bring, not only inside the house for drinking and killing plants and all those things and the strange feeling characteristics, like you can’t get the soap off or get the shampoo out.

Wendy: Right.

Rick: Traditional water softeners are horrific. They’re horrific on the environment. Those things are putting so much salt down the drain every time that they regenerate. And, you know, if you call Coachella Valley Water District and say, “Hey, I want to put a water softener in my house,” they’ll go as far as to tell you sometimes, “Oh, they’re banned”, which technically may or may not be true. But then if you ask them to show you that, they might just say, “Well, we heavily, heavily discourage the use of traditional water softeners.” And they have banned them in commercial applications like restaurants and everything for a number of years because commercially you’ve got restaurants even more water and more of that salt going down the drain.

Wendy: Wow.

Rick: So we care about our aquifers and all those things we have going on in the valley and water softeners are just a blight on all of that. So, by contrast, everything we’re doing is environmentally sound and salt-free.

Fitz: That’s awesome. And I wanna stress, once again, like you said, this is total property. Even your landscape and your plants and your shrubs…

Wendy: Your pool.

Fitz: …benefit from this. And, as I was gonna say, Wendy, good point, your swimming pool. When you have a pool and you don’t have one of your systems, you’re swimming in chlorine and pharmaceuticals and everything else that are being absorbed. And then you go in and take a shower to rinse off the chlorine from the pool, and what are you rinsing off with?

Wendy: Chlorine.

Fitz: More chlorine.

Rick: More chlorine. Actually, sometimes you guys, it’s an interesting statistic that sometimes when that happens, there’s actually more chlorine exposure in the bath and shower than swimming in a traditional chlorine pool.

Wendy: Wow.

Fitz: That’s crazy.

Rick: You know, most pools today are salt-driven pools which I really applaud because that is a healthier alternative and what we’re doing is extremely beneficial for the swimming pool, regardless of whether it’s an old school chlorine pool or a salt pool, but the water chews up the salt cells that create the process for the salt pools. Our average life in the valley is maybe two to three years, maybe four years on a salt cell, if you don’t address the water in the pool, because the hard water components just eat those up and then you gotta replace them for $800, $1500. So there’s a big financial win to having this as a total property manner also.

Fitz: Rick, thank you so much. We encourage everyone to give you a call 346-4850. Ask for Rick. He is so great explaining and like he just mentioned, if you’re in Palm Springs or La Quinta, different water districts serve those cities and there are different needs and different things that you have to do.

You can go to the parent company website and get more details, PureElementsWater.com. PureElementsWater.com. Call Rick. I’ll give you the number one more time. Grab a pen. 760-346-4850. Find out how you can get your own CrystalClear Home Water Filtration System. 760-346-4850. You know we’re believers, Rick. We’ll keep spreading the word for you.

Rick: Hey, I love you guys. I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful Saturday, and appreciate you letting me get the word out to all the listeners.

Fitz: Always a pleasure, Rick. Keep on rocking. Have a great weekend, and we’ll talk to you soon.

Wendy: Take care, Rick.

Rick: You, too.

Fitz: Thanks so much.

Rick: Bye, Wendy.

Wendy: Bye-bye.

Rick: Thanks.

If you live in the Coachella Valley, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Indio, Desert Hot Springs, Coachella, or Rancho Mirage, you already know that you have water problems. We’re here to help you, and we look forward to hearing from you. So please call us.

Interview I Did With Fitz About the 5 Benefits of Custom Water Filter

Fitz: My long-time friend and supporter and water guru expert, Rick Allen, on the phone with me from CrystalClear Home. Good morning, Rick.

Rick: Good morning, Fitz. How are you? Hey, I want an invitation to that dinner, though.

Fitz: I’m telling you, man. You know, Barry Minniefeld was on “The Voice” last year, if you didn’t know. He was one of the stars of Season 8, he’s a desert resident and entertains us out here on a regular basis. And was the executive chef at The Improv in L.A for about 10 years, and became close friends with Jay Leno and Roseanne and a whole list of George Wallace holistic comedians. He has gone on after that opening for them in Vegas, and has forged long-time friendships with them. And he’s been talking about all of these culinary taste treats that he whips up and all these different dishes. And I’ve just been salivating all morning, Rick. So I’m starving right now.

Rick: You’re gonna have to have a big lunch.

Fitz: I’m telling you, baby. So Rick has CrystalClear Home, the water filtration system, Barry. Now, as a chef, you’ll be interested in this. Because if you have a CrystalClear Home water filtration system in your home, when you rinse those vegetables off and everything, you’re not getting any chlorine on them and you’re not getting any pharmaceuticals, which is in our drinking water, as you know, these days. You’re not getting chromium-6, you’re not getting arsenic. This is all the stuff that’s in the regular drinking water. But if you had a CrystalClear Home water filtration system, you could drink worry-free from every faucet in your home. You could shower worry-free because, you know, you ingest that chlorine in your body through its pores. Soaks that stuff in.

Rick: And through your lungs too.

Fitz: Through your lung…wow, I didn’t even think about that, Rick.

Rick: Yeah, it’s all aerosol.

Fitz: Okay.

Rick: So it’s in that steam.

Fitz: Okay. It’s in the steam, that’s right and you suck that in and you’re thinking you’re taking a nice healthy shower and you feel good. Lord knows what you’ve ingested. So as a chef, you should check out this CrystalClear Home water filtration system. It’ll actually make your food taste cleaner.

Man: What if I rent?

Fitz: What if he rents, Rick?

Rick: Well…

Fitz: Talk to landlord into getting…

Rick: Exactly. Start talking to that landlord and then take it with you when you go.

Fitz: There you go, and take it with you when you go. Talk to landlord. Because it’s a unit, they put it outside your property. And it even takes care of the landscaping as well. You use less water, less fertilizer. Makes your landscaping more vibrant green, and you know that salt leaching you see around the pool, those white spots and stuff, gets rid of that as well.

Man: I’m going talk to my landlord about that.

Fitz: There you go. All right, Rick. Did we cover everything?

Rick Allen Crystal Clear Water - Pure Elements Water interviewed by Fitz CV 104.3 radio CV 104.3 Jim Fitz Fitzgerald

Rick: Well, yeah. I don’t have anything to say. I just kind of wanted to take a quick run-down of the five things that we do when we do a total property system.

Fitz: Right, the five points. I love this.

Rick: And you’ve really touched on them. My biggest passion is getting the chemicals and things out of the bath and shower water because that is the greatest area of exposure to the potentially harmful things. And it is aerosol and in the steam. So you’re right. You’re taking in through your pores and through your lungs. That’s a much more direct shot into the blood stream than me giving you a glass of water with that stuff in it, and you have at least…you’ve got the digestive track and the organs to do some filtering. But through the pores and lungs, that’s not good.

So we’re all about creating a chemical-free home living environment and bathing experience, that’s number one. And then you touched on it, the drinking water from every faucet. It’s chemical-free, we’ve addressed the heavy metals. It tastes great, it has the natural mineral content left in place and it’s slightly alkaline. So somewhere in our desert, maybe 7.6 to 7.8, slightly alkaline. It seems like the health care and longevity guys are on that path right now, that that seems to be the optimum for drinking water. So we wanna give that from every faucet.
And then, you know, we’re reducing the hard water issues throughout the interior of the home without a softener. Using a chemical-free, salt-free approach. Doesn’t create the slimy feeling like you can’t get the soap off.
It doesn’t require you feeding big bags of salt into it or any of those things, and it’s environmentally friendly. So that’s a great way to help protect the asset, protect your fixtures and appliances and get better results in laundry, and dishwashing and all of those things. So those are the kind of the interior things. I thought today I’d just take a second and talk about the last two things that we do in a total property system, and you touched on them.

The first one is landscape irrigation. When you have a total property system, you are able to, first, protect the infrastructure of your irrigation system, your bubblers and your control valves and all of those different things.

And secondarily, you’re able to cut back your water usage and your fertilizer usage. In big applications like golf courses that might be using 3,000,000 gallons of water a day, we can actually cut their water volume and fertilizer by about 40% and their pumping costs by somewhere along the lines of like 23 to 27%. It’s a tough nut for the golf courses because they have to come up with a chunk of cash.

But it ultimately will probably be something they’ll be revisiting, as we continue to deal with imported water and drought conditions and all that stuff. But on your landscape and your house and everything, like you said. Really what you see is everything is much more vibrant and kinda grows like crazy. It’s interesting – in a golf community, when you drive down the street, you see houses that have one of our systems and it’s kind of the me-too landscaping a little bit in the entryways and things. You’ll be able to pick ours out because all the green stuff has grown twice as crazy as everything else and you can really see it. So that’s very helpful also, to be able to cut that water volume back. With what’s going on with the restrictions, and especially Palm Springs is pretty tight right now. So that’s the benefit there.

Fitz: These are great points, Rick. I wanna go back real quick and just to emphasize, and this is something that we don’t really think about, but your pipes, a lot of places have old plumbing and old cast iron pipes and fixtures and stuff. And this is a great way, as you said, to preserve your infrastructure.

Rick: Absolutely, absolutely. Sorry, I was just taking a sip of good water there. But yeah, absolutely. Everything that you have and own, this helps to protect it and extend the life of it. And that kind of leads to the last or fifth thing, which you had touched on also, which is swimming pools. Nothing is perfect. Swimming pools are an art piece unto themselves, and they’re an open-air body of water, so you’re always gonna have some stainings and some issues.

Improving water quality with a water filter system

But by having the pool filled and continually re-filled with water through the system, we’re able to reduce the staining at the water line.

We’re able to actually protect that infrastructure, so the recirculating pumps and all of those different things, and reduce the staining at the spillways on the stack stone and all of those different areas. So that’s been quite an added benefit also. In fact, some people buy the system just to try to enhance the beauty of their pool and spa.

Fitz: You see that all the time. It’s frustrating for homeowners who have those beautiful stack stone and maybe paver walls and stuff around the pool and then they see all this white leaching and stuff. And that’s the beauty of CrystalClear Home is that you don’t have to deal with that.

Rick: Well, it really helps. It certainly dramatically affects the surface situation, where water sits on the surface and evaporates. There is this situation where the stone in the desert, water can leach underneath and then it actually wicks up through the concrete. And if the contractors didn’t put in a moisture barrier, then what happens is it comes up and it’s kind of interesting. It’ll create some spotting in the middle of nowhere and you’ll kind of wonder. You say, “We don’t have any sprinklers there. There’s no water there. Why do we have a spot there that looks like we have water?” That’s kind of a desert phenomenon. But I actually, in my house on the Coast, have concrete floors and we actually have that occur in certain areas at certain times of the year. So we’re super ultra conservative and wanna provide exceptional quality water and everything that we can do.

So we can’t deal with anything coming up, but we certainly can deal with stuff…surface-mounted… And like you said, it’s sprinkler spraying on a wall, that’s kind of one more interesting thing to do when we wrap up. But it seems to me that everyone should be aware that using traditional sprinklers that spray into the air, and you drive by and you see all this mist and everything, how much of that water is really getting to the plant life. So it’s quite wasteful. There are rotary sprinklers now that use maybe 40% less water. When you have water ending up on a glass window or on a stone wall, as you mentioned or whatever, part of the issue there is to rethink your landscaping and get that water close to or on the ground. So all the bubblers and rotary sprinkler and things that are out right now. Just go to your Home Depot or your Lowes and ask them for that, you can change your heads out and you’ll save up a lot of water. And you’ll minimize the problems that occur, especially when water in the desert gets on the glass. That’s a real pain to remove.

Fitz: That’s so annoying. Rick, I’m going to lobby for you to change your name from Rick Allen to Rick Waterman. Okay? Because you are the water man. Okay?

Rick: I think that’s been taken, Fitz, but I appreciate it.

Fitz: I like Rick Waterman, I’m gonna have to lobby for that. 346-4850, that’s the number to call to get your own CrystalClear Home water filtration system. You can check them out online, crystalclearhome.com. As always, Rick, great information and a great time of year for people to look into this. You make the process so smooth and we’re going through a new installation of another place where we’re gonna have your product, which I’m excited about. We’re gonna talk about that when it’s all done and will be posting some pictures on Facebook and everything and show everyone that Wendy and I do walk the walk and talk the talk.

So crystalclearhome.com or 346-4850, ask for Rick. If he’s not around, he’ll get back with you and you’ll answer anyone’s questions. You know so much about this. I’m so impressed and the water is coming up in the conversation big time, with the drought and everything that’s going on with our water in the valley here. You are the water man. 346-4850, always a pressure, Rick. Once again, thanks for all your support and…

Rick: We’re gonna see you on Sunday. Aren’t we?

Fitz: Yes.

Rick: In a different capacity.

Fitz: Yeah. I’m looking forward to jamming with you in the Pinch Me! band at Pierce Street Annex, 17th Street in Costa Mesa for OC homies. If you’re around, come on by and have some fun. We’ll be there late afternoon.

Rick: That’s sounds great, Fitz. Looking forward to it and appreciate talking to you, as always.

Fitz: Thank you so much, Rick. Thanks for the support and we’ll keep spreading the word for you.

Rick: You bet. Thanks.

Fitz: All right, man.

Rick: Bye-bye.
